I had met Dave on several occasions and was impressed with the
quality of his work, so after a long period with Alan Dean I decided
I would let Dave do some work on me, although it meant travelling
quite a long way for each session. Of course by this time most of
the large areas of skin had already been covered but Dave completely
covered my forearms and elbows with some fantastic work. He also
completely covered my legs and feet except the soles where the skin
texture was too hard for the pigment to stay in. One particular
tattoo which I am very fond of is a pair of orang-utans on the calf
of my right leg. These are realistic and so cute that they always
draw people’s attention. Dave was always happy to rework areas which had faded or become indistinct; hence he re-tattooed large areas on my breasts and back. I had always maintained a vee shape below the neck so that my tattoos were not visible when wearing normal clothes, as whilst working this was important. However, at the millennium Dave reduced the depth of the vee by positioning a phallus and a heart in this area. With Dave’s expertise I was happy to get him to line my eyes, eyebrows and put a beauty spot on my cheek. He made a fantastic job of this work and I have only admiration for all the work that he has done. |

During the period that Dave was tattooing me I was travelling abroad
a lot and hence I met up with a number of well known tattooists. As
a consequence temptation took the upper hand and whilst in Berlin in
December 1999 I agreed to have a lovely tattoo of an eye on my neck
by Ron Ackers, who was a brilliant artist from the old school. Shortly after this, whilst at another convention in Germany I met another well known British artist, Chris Cougar and he added work on my chest which further reduced the vee below my neck; something I was then keen to do. In May 2000, whilst in New York once again, I agreed to have some work done, this time from the well known artist, Spider Webb, who appropriately tattooed a spider, which he signed and dated in my left armpit. Whilst on this visit to New York a lovely young lady named Dragonfly also tattooed a dragonfly on my right wrist, which I thought was very nice. |
